Job interview presentation template

When an interview panel asks you to "prepare a short presentation", this six-slide deck covers what they usually want to see: who you are, results you have delivered, why you want this role, how you would spend your first 90 days, and questions for them. Paste the job description and the AI tailors each slide to it.

How to use this template

  1. Read the brief from the employer carefully: the topic, the time limit and whether they want a plan, a case study or an introduction.
  2. Open the template, paste the job description and your resume, and ask the AI to "tailor this for the role, ten minutes long".
  3. Replace general claims on the results slide with numbers from your own work, and make the 90-day plan specific to what you learned about the team.
  4. Download as PowerPoint and also keep a PDF copy on a USB drive or in your email, in case the room's computer cannot open your file.

What interview panels look for

Frequently asked questions

How many slides for a 10-minute interview presentation?

About six to eight. Allow a minute or a minute and a half per slide, and leave time for questions if the panel has not said otherwise.

Should I send the slides in advance?

Only if asked. If you do, send a PDF, which looks the same on any computer, and bring a copy on the day.

What is a 30-60-90 day plan?

A short plan for your first three months: learn the team and systems in the first 30 days, deliver early improvements by 60, and take on larger goals by 90. The template has a slide laid out for it.

Can I use this for an internal promotion?

Yes. Swap the about me slide for your achievements in the company, and make the plan about what you would do differently in the new role.
