About me presentation template
A friendly seven-slide deck to introduce yourself on the first day of school, in a new job, at a club or in an online class: where you are from, what you love, a few numbers about you, fun facts, goals for the year and how to say hello. Tell the AI a little about yourself and it drafts slides you can make your own with photos.
Template
- About me (presentation): Introduce yourself to a new class, team or group with a friendly deck about who you are, what you love and fun facts.
How to use this template
- Open the about me template and tell the AI who the audience is and how long you have, for example "new team at work, two minutes" or "Year 8 class, first day".
- Give it a few facts: hometown, family or pets, hobbies, a favourite book or food, and one surprising thing about you.
- Add your own photos to make it personal, and cut any slide you do not need to stay within your time.
- Download as PowerPoint and practise once out loud; most introductions should take two to three minutes.
Making an introduction memorable
- Lead with one interesting detail rather than a list. "I have lived in four countries" invites questions; "I like music" does not.
- Use photos instead of words wherever you can. A picture of your dog says more than a bullet point about it.
- For a new job, add a slide on what you do and how colleagues can work with you, such as the best way to reach you.
- In a class, the "two truths and a lie" slide is an easy way to get everyone talking.
- Keep details you would not share with strangers, such as your address or timetable, off slides that may be posted online.
Frequently asked questions
What should I put in an about me presentation?
Your name, where you are from, what you do or study, things you enjoy, a few fun facts and what you hope to do this year. Choose details that suit the audience: lighter for a class, more about your work for a new team.
How long should an about me presentation be?
Usually two to five minutes and five to eight slides. Check whether your teacher or host has set a time limit.
Can I use it for a job interview?
For an interview, use the job interview presentation instead, which covers your results, why you want the role and a 90-day plan.
Can I make it on my phone?
Yes. The slide editor works in a phone browser, and you can download the PowerPoint or a PDF to present from any device.
