Frequently asked questions

Are these resume templates really free?

Yes. Every template is free to edit and download as Word or PDF, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Which resume template is best for getting past ATS?

The ATS-friendly resume. It uses one column, plain section headings and no tables, icons or text boxes, which are the things tracking software most often misreads.

What is the difference between a resume and a CV?

In the US and Canada a resume is a one or two page summary for a job, and a CV is a long academic record. In the UK, Ireland and much of Europe, "CV" is simply the everyday word for a resume, usually up to two pages.

Can I open the template in Google Docs?

Yes. Download it as a Word file and upload it to Google Drive, or open it in Word, Pages or LibreOffice.
