Internship certificate format

An internship completion certificate that a company issues on its letterhead at the end of an internship. It confirms the intern's name, course and college, the team and dates, the project they worked on and what they did, the skills they showed and their conduct, with an optional line on the stipend. Colleges ask for it to award internship credit, and students use it in job and higher-study applications.

Templates

How to use these templates

  1. Collect the facts from the intern's mentor: exact dates, the project title, two or three things the intern actually did and one line on how they worked.
  2. Open the template and give the AI those facts, for example "Ananya Rao, B.Tech CSE 3rd year, RV College, data team, 2 June to 31 July, churn dashboard in Power BI".
  3. Check the name against the intern's college ID and the dates against your records, and add a reference number from your HR series.
  4. Print it on letterhead, sign and stamp it, and send a scanned PDF too, since most colleges and employers now ask for a digital copy.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an internship certificate and an offer letter?

An internship offer letter is issued at the start and sets out the dates, stipend and terms. The internship certificate is issued at the end and confirms the internship was completed.

Who signs the internship certificate?

Usually the HR manager or the intern's reporting manager, on company letterhead, with the company seal where one is used.

Should the stipend be mentioned?

It is optional. Some colleges and visa or scholarship applications ask whether the internship was paid, so including it can save the intern a second letter.

Can I issue certificates to a whole batch of interns?

Yes. Give the AI a list of names, dates and projects and ask it to produce one certificate per intern, then check each one before signing.
