Convert PDF to high-quality JPG
High quality is already selected, so each page is rendered at about 300 dots per inch instead of the usual screen resolution. Small print stays readable when you zoom in, and the images are sharp enough to print or to place on a slide or poster.
How to use Convert PDF to high-quality JPG
- Choose the PDF. JPG and High quality are already selected; switch to PNG for pages that are mostly text and line art.
- Press Convert to images. Large documents take a little longer at this resolution, and progress is shown page by page.
- Download one JPG for a single-page PDF, or a ZIP with one image per page.
Frequently asked questions
What does 300 dpi mean for an A4 or Letter page?
An A4 page becomes an image of roughly 2480 by 3508 pixels, and a US Letter page roughly 2550 by 3300. That is the resolution commonly used for sharp printed text and photos.
Why are the files so much bigger than normal quality?
Rendering at about twice the resolution makes about four times as many pixels. Use normal quality for screens and messages, and high quality when you will print or zoom in.
How do I get the photos inside the PDF at their own resolution?
Choose Extract images instead of Page to image. It saves the pictures embedded in the PDF without rendering whole pages, so you get exactly the resolution they were added at.
