Convert JPG to PDF in A4 size

A4 pages with a small margin are already selected, so a photo of a certificate, receipt or handwritten page becomes a proper document page instead of an odd-sized image. A4 (210 by 297 mm) is the standard paper size in India, the UK and most of the world; switch to US Letter for the US and Canada.

How to use Convert JPG to PDF in A4 size

  1. Choose your JPG photos or scans in the order the pages should appear. PNG and HEIC photos work too.
  2. A4 and a small margin are set. Orientation follows each image, so a landscape photo gets a landscape page; choose Portrait to keep every page upright.
  3. Press Convert to PDF. Each image is scaled to fit the page without cropping or stretching.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my PDF have white borders around the photo?

The photo is scaled to fit inside the A4 page without stretching, so if its shape differs from A4 there is white space on two sides, plus the small margin. Choose "Same as image" for page size and "No margin" if you want no border at all.

How do I make a PDF of document photos taken on my phone?

Open this page in your phone browser and choose the photos from your gallery. Crop them to the edge of the paper in your photo app first, so the A4 page shows the document rather than the table it was lying on.

The PDF is too big for an upload form. What can I do?

Phone photos are large, so the PDF can be several megabytes. Run it through Compress PDF and set the target size the form asks for, such as 200 KB.

Are my images uploaded?
