Extract pages from a PDF

Extract pages is already selected. Type the pages you need, such as 2 or 1, 4-6, and get a new PDF with only those pages. It is the quick way to send one page of a long statement, keep the signed page of a contract, or upload a single certificate from a scanned bundle.

How to use Extract pages from a PDF

  1. Choose the PDF. The page count appears next to its name, so you know which numbers to use.
  2. Type the pages to keep. Separate single pages with commas and use a dash for a run, for example 1, 3, 7-9.
  3. Press Split PDF and download one new PDF containing just those pages. The original file is not changed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I save just one page of a PDF?

Type that page number on its own, for example 5, and download. You get a one-page PDF with the same quality as the original, with text still selectable.

Can I change the order of the pages I extract?

Yes. Pages come out in the order you type them, so 5, 1-3 puts page 5 first, followed by pages 1 to 3. For more changes, open the new file in Rotate and reorder PDF.

What is the difference between extracting and deleting pages?

They give the same kind of result from opposite directions. Extract when you want to keep a few pages from a long file; use Delete PDF pages when you want to keep most of it and drop a few.

Will extracting pages make the file smaller?

Usually, because only the chosen pages are kept. Fonts and images shared across the document can still take some space, so if a form has a strict limit, compress the extracted file afterwards.

Are my files uploaded?
